About Us
Al-Khwarizmi Engineering Journal (ALKEJ) is an international, open-access, and peer-reviewed quarterly journal that has been published by the Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad since 2005. The journal is dedicated to publishing original research and novel developments across diverse engineering disciplines, including but not limited to Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, and Information and Communications Engineering. ALKEJ seeks papers that report significant advances and innovative contributions to the engineering field.
The journal received four acknowledgment letters from the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017 for being the best peer-reviewed journal in Iraq.
Aims:
Al-Khwarizmi Engineering Journal (Print ISSN: 1818-1171, Electronic ISSN: 2312-0789) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes reviews and research articles in the field of modern engineering disciplines. Our aim is to encourage researchers to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and/or methodical details must be provided.

Al-Khwarizmi Engineering Journal is committed to enforcing a rigorous peer review process alongside strict ethical policies and standards, ensuring the addition of high-quality scientific works to the scholarly record. Unfortunately, cases of plagiarism, data falsification, inappropriate authorship credit, and other forms of misconduct do arise. Therefore, Al-Khwarizmi Engineering Journal takes such publishing ethics issues very seriously, and our trained editors handle these cases with a zero-tolerance policy. To verify the originality of content submitted to our journal, we use Turnitin to check submissions against previous publications.
